To my Great Aunty Pat, may you rest in peace until we meet again.
One of my favourite memories of you is all of us - Bob, Nev, mum, you, and me - sitting together in your lounge, chatting while watching some TV, when Countdown came on. I remember how you lit up and we sat there, stunned, as you began rapidly firing off the correct answers to question after question while we scrambled to keep up. I was so impressed and realised for the first time what an amazing woman my Great Aunt really was!
Now that you've passed on, I'm sad to say I regret not having made more memories with you. You were always interested in how I was doing, and I think often became indignant on my behalf when speaking to my mum about various things that went on. I may even have inherited my love of music and singing from you, for which I will be eternally grateful!
While I’m sad you’re no longer with us, I’m relieved to know that your suffering has ended, and I pray you’ve found happiness in being reunited with your lost loved ones.
Lots of love Great Aunty Pat, and rest in peace xxx
